This person was upset because they only got scads, a modicum, or zilch of their favorite food.

My favorite food was at the buffet, but I was last in line.
If I weren’t so terribly hungry this would have been just fine.
By the time I reached the platter, little was left on that plate.
In the future, I’ll demand to be served first instead of having to wait.
