Dictionary Head

Am I an anvil, laser, or flashlight?

Do I go through mass with my might?
Nope, I cut through stuff ‘cause I’m light.
I can hit a star with my beam
I’m waves of light in a stream

Follow the Braindrops down

to discover the right answer.

I'm called a laser.

Can light cut?  Yup, it sure can and we call them lasers.  Lasers are light beams so powerful that they can cut through steel and can travel through space indefinitely, although their beam of light gets larger and less powerful.  The beam of light that cuts steel is small and intense.

A laser starts out as a wave in any room

And grow until  it can zoom

Into the sky and up to a star

Its so powerful near or far.
